From Kettle Falls to Kelowna, British Columbia.
Fuel at a small store shortly before the border.
Lunch in a PC'ish coffee/sandwich shop at the roadside in Rock Creek, BC.

After breakfast and packing up I took the fuel tank off the bike to get a better look at the engine. Concluded the oil leak was probably a false alarm.  Canceled all my disaster contingency plans and headed north with a light heart.

The 20'some miles from Kettle Falls to Laurier on the border is quite pleasant following the diminutive Kettle River through pine and spruce wooded areas. A short distance after the border I got on BC-3 West to Rock Creek.  From there took BC-33 north and decided to call it quits in Kelowna at the first motel I saw (Days Inn).  I winced at the price but the desk clerk (an honest looking fellow) assured me I wouldn't find a lower price in town and knocked it down by $10.  When I see prices I have to remind myself that they are in Canadian dollars so reduce by 1/4.

BC-3 runs pretty much parallel to the border twisting and turning, up and down and green, green, green.  Now I remember from last year that it didn't take long to get sick of the color.  BC-33 is not much different.

Tentative route over next several days:  Kamloops, Prince George, Stewart, Whitehorse.  I need a new rear tire and will be checking at bike shops.

Again, took no pictures today.
